Meet Dr. James Torkildson
Dr. James Torkildson (known by many as "Dr. T") is a Clinical Psychologist, Speaker, Author, Professor, and Faith Leader with over 40 years of experience serving individuals, families, behavioral health organizations, and faith communities.
He is a seasoned Behavioral Health Professional and a cultural voice rooted in Scripture with decades of clinical and spiritual leadership. His work weaves human behavior, faith, and cultural awareness into tools that help people live anchored, intentional, and spiritually awake lives.
Dr. Torkildson's academic training includes a BA in Psychology from Moorhead State University (1979), MA in Counseling Psychology from Ball State University (1984), and Ed.D in Educational Psychology and Counseling from the University of South Dakota (1986).
He has made significant contributions to leading change in service delivery models and has been formally recognized with numerous awards for his work in early childhood mental health, school-based clinical services, supervision, and training.
Through his writing, teaching, and public speaking, he continues his purpose and call to equip and activate people of faith for "Such a Time as This."
